When Kenia's husband decided to move out to the family farm, Kenia started teaching music lessons for the kids in the community. This grew into a ministry called "Regalos de Amor" ( gifts of love) where her goal was to share the greatest gift of all, Jesus. Later, her husband Olmedo started discipleship basketball for the youth in the community.
After we organized all of the gifts, we went out to visit the families.
The gift baskets included a New Testament from Samaritan's purse, donations from Opperation Chistmas Child. We encouraged families to read the Christmas story in Luke and emphasized the reason that Jesus came to earth as a baby.
We gave as well as received! These farm families gave us mangos, guavas, avocados and a special outside coal-oven-baked cheesy corn bread (accompanied by homegrown, homemade coffee!) Delicious!
