The next performance for the day was with the band. Yesenia, Linder, Alfredo, Erika and Jefferson were ready for their big performance at the Alborada Conference. Although our pre-arranged ride didn't show up last minute, and we had to scramble to find a taxi, we got there on time, warmed up and were ready to go. The kids did a great job playing "Kumbaya", and people were very impressed that Jefferson's arms could strech so far on the Trombone (don't be fooled by the picture. The one with the Sax is Jefferson who really plays the trombone).
Tonight marks the last night in a 12 lesson Bible study that I've been doing with these girls in the picture below. Janina, Mayi & Kenia. We're planning on continuing with something different, and I'm hoping to get a 2 for 1 on my seminary work and use the material on them.Oh yeah-- I started seminary. It's all day Saturdays and it looks like it's going to be challenging but good!
On a sad note, my friend Willian just had a tragic death in his family. Please pray.
