Heavy Hearts for Batman

Our hearts are heavy tonight. We are praying for a miracle and, if you reading this, I ask you petition our God as well. We're praying for Rolando, our dear pastor, teacher and friend. Faithful husband, father, provider, teacher, protector, and this gringa's bat-catcher on many occasions (aka "Batman"). Today, Rolando got extremely sick at school. He passed out and was rushed to the hospital with 2 teachers in a taxi. He's been at the hospital all day, unconscious, and the doctors do not know what is wrong. Please pray that Rolando will be healed. Please pray that the doctors will know what to do. Pray that the family will be comforted and know how to care for Rolando in the best way possible. In moments like these our church family comes together. We know that many all over Ecuador and North America are praying for our brother in Christ. We are comforted by James 5: Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray.... Is anyone among you sick? ... And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick."

Other prayer requests... Our friend Yanina just lost her father this afternoon. Pray for her has she travels to Peru for the funeral. Pray for the 3 new orphans, former Hope of Bastion students, who just lost their mom. Pray for the Hope of Bastion School staff as we try to help many kids in great need. Pray for Becky, Jessenia and myself. Pray for the Bastion community. Pray for Rolando.
