oh Paraguay...

I came home to a rooster in my yard. Oh Paraguay.

Paraguay is a very small country. VERY. Let me explain.

When Ashley was here, we walked around the downtown market of Asuncion (capital of the country). Then as we left and wandered some random side streets of the city, a car stopped and someone yelled something. My general rule is "ignore everyone and look like you know where
you're going". Well when this person yelled my NAME, I paid attention and it was someone from my church. WEIRD!

Then Ashley and I decide to hop on a bus to get downtown quicker. The first one to come was #26. Sounds like a good #, we thought, and hopped on. After I pay the driver, someone taps me on the shoulder. Another general rule "ignore people who touch you on the bus", but it happened to be my best Paraguayan friend Natalia! CRAZY!

Now, 2 weeks later, I'm shopping at a store in Asuncion and I hear an American accent. I ask the big blond guy where he´s from, and he says Missouri. When he hears that I´m from NJ, he asks, ''Did you have a friend come visit you 3 weeks ago?" UMMMM why do you know my life? He met Ashley on the plane ride down to Paraguay from the US. REDICULOUS!

Be on the lookout for my next post: Buenos Bathrooms!
