Does Jesus make YOU smile?

Our kids definately smile as they hear about Jesus through fun dramas and silly puppets!

But the smile I'm thinking about was on the face of a heavily tatooed 24 year old. Last week, a few of us were walking from our church to celebrate a friend's birthday at his house. The heavily tatooed guy in the group started talking about how he's been given many opportunities to share his testimony recently. I turned to him and asked him when he trusted in Christ as his Savior.

He looked at me with the HUGEST grin that I've ever seen and exclaimed, "Hace 3 meses!!! Three months ago!!! I just had my birthday on the 25th!" He continued to tell me how much his life has DRASTICALLY changed. He said that life has not instantly gotten easy, but he now has joy and a purpose in life. He wants to make up for lost time, get his high school diploma, and most importantly, tell everyone what Jesus has done for him.

I saw him again today as we had an all day soccer tournament (My team ALMOST won!! grrr. I was the goalie and I loved it!!). He still had a big smile for everyone and seems to be involved in every church activity that presents itself (this was a soccer tournament for all the churches in the area).

Jesus makes big tough guys with tatoos smile.

Y tu?

Loved the little bio of the missionary. Reminds me that sharing the Gospel should not be limited to certain situations or times or places but is always relevant - tied with the story about the tatooed 24 year old reminds me that ANYONE at ANYTIME may need and accept Christ.
