For those of you who know Pete Nilsen, the guy sitting at the piano in this picture is his Paraguayan replica. He is an incredible musican and makes a keyboard (without a pedal!) sound amazing! Here, we're practicing for a song that the choir's going to sing for the 100th anniversary of assemblies here in Paraguay.
He has shown you, oh man, what is good and what the Lord requires of you: to walk justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8

La Iglesia Cristiana Evangelica Calle Independencia
This church is VERY similar to Valley! Their Breaking of Bread service (weekly communion) starts at 8:30 and various men stand up to pray, talk about Jesus and His death for us, or give out a hymn. While they don't have the "back of the black", they do have a complete group of musicians who play for this service as well: piano, electric guitar, violin and singer. After this service (La Santa Cena), they have a short break before the next meeting. They had another meeting in the evening at 7:00 where they sang a lot of hymns and Mariana's brother-in-law preached a message that I actually understood completely! Tonight, like every Tuesday night, we are going to have a prayer meeting at the house. I'll probally still pray in English... :)
