On Monday we went back to the Nueva Asentamiento that Ashley wrote about on her post. I was able to put Project Socks into action! So, we noticed that a lot of kids do not have socks, and it's getting COLD now. (see-your-breath-wear-4-layers-of-clothing COLD!) On Saturday, I bought 180 pairs of socks to start my project. My project consists of giving socks to kids who don't have any on their feet. At the Nueva Asentamiento, I literaly gave socks to every kid there. Today, I only found 1 sock-less nino and called him over to the pickup truck, "Hey kid, are your feet cold? Come here." I felt like I was smuggling drugs or something...
Yesterday, I started to feel sick and yucky. We got to one of the schools and I just laid down in the car, not wanting to move a muscle. My friends offered to cover my parts of the show, but I have some long lines that no one else has memorized, so I knew I had to do it. I stayed horizontal until it was absolutely starting time. When I walked over to our stage, the kids started clapping! WHAT?! It made me feel so loved to see that these kids cared that I was there! A gift of love when I wasn't feeling well...

It'd be much better if you wore a long trench coat and had all the socks hung in there, right next to the Rolex and Omega watches. Just constantly walking around muttering "Gucci, Prada, Coach, Socks..."
