Entitlement

Entitlement is bad, right? As Mary Beth points out ever so gently, "we really only deserve hell". We really can't feel entitled to anything, but we do. And we feel entitled to feel entitled. AHH!

Entitlement is disgusting, yet is there anyone who doesn't struggle with it? I think it comes in the form of 

A) pride: I did such a great job that I deserve blah blah blah

B) self importance: I am the most important and should therefore get blah blah and blah

C) selfishness: I need blah blah and blah... Not you, because of.. see points A and B

Obviously, I've been confronted with this lately, so it's on my mind (ARGH and it makes me mad! Buth then again, imagine how God feels when he sees it in us all the time...). It's definately easier to see in other people (their speck, rather than my plank- Matt 7:3), but I guess it's good to identify in others so that I'm more aware of my own entitlement issues.
